Mark Richardson is the President of Case Design/Remodeling, Inc., one of the nation's largest home improvement and remodeling organizations. He is an enthusiastic advocate of remodeling industry education for both consumers and for professionals in all related sectors. He and Frederic F. Case, CR, are the only remodelers with seats on the Remodeling Futures Board of Harvard University's Joint Center for Housing Studies.
Named one of the "Ten Who Will Remake the Remodeling Industry" in this century by Remodeling Magazine, Mark Richardson has authored many articles and white papers on business related topics.
He is a frequent national speaker and the author of two monthly columns for Remodeling Magazine and Smart Business Ideas. In 1992, he created a weekly radio webcast featuring consumer education on home care and maintenance topics. For these and other efforts, he was recognized in 2000 with the Harold Hammerman "Spirit of Education" Award for excellence in remodeling industry education and training.
In 2007, he was tapped by Home Depot to lead a series of online business workshops designed to offer professionals effective and intelligent business practices. Mark is a guest lecturer for MBA Programs at Virginia Tech, Georgetown and University of Maryland and holds seats on Harvard University's Joint Center for Housing Studies, GE Money, the Better Business Bureau of Greater Washington and Andersen Window's Remodeler Partnership Council. He has been featured on national media outlets such as HGTV, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones Market Watch and Forbes Magazine. In 2006, he was named Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur Of the Year in Real Estate & Construction.
